Gulkanyan Alisa

Alisa Gulkanyan is a contemporary artist from Kazan, who works in a symbiosis of various genres and techniques.

Graduated from the British Higher School of Design in Photography for New Media. The main emphasis in the work on photography, digital collage and animation. Creates image content for brands, deals with video art, installations. He lectures at the British School of Design.

In the series of works "Tatar fairy tales" Alice invites the viewer to go to a fairy-tale world full of Tatar mythical creatures. A series of works created in collaboration with the Your yool brand.

“I often turn to the theme of dreams, I like the mystery that is hidden in the images. I am fascinated by natural landscapes, I send the heroes of my shootings on a virtual journey. But just like in a dream, everything around seems to be a stage set, and the characters are often faceless. Together with designer Tanya Chernoguzova, I created a short story that sends the viewer into a fairy-tale world full of Tatar mythical creatures. You will get acquainted with the spirits of Azhdakh, Uryak, Shurale, Albasty.
